After over 30 years providing residential construction services, the last 27 in the Bay Area, Mark MacAvoy found that his long time clients began calling him for additional services to help them as they aged in place. As a California licensed contractor, Mark put his years of construction experience to work and began researching the different options for individuals facing accessibility issues.
Through working with occupational therapists, home healthcare nurses, and becoming Certified in Home Modifications through the University of Southern California's Andrus Gerontology Center , Mark has become a leading advocate and expert in accessibility construction. It is Mark's expertise and his service oriented philosophy that has formed the foundation for In-Home Independence.
